Lewis' Fennekin (Japanese: ルイスのフォッコRuisu's Fokko) was the first Pokémon caught by Lewis in Kalos, and his twenty-first overall.
History[]
Fennekin first appeared in The Light That Binds Us! Part 1, where she watched Lewis get off the train at Lumiose Station to search for his missing Aipom. When he was attacked by a wild Linoone, Fennekin stepped in to drive it off with Fire Spin. When Lewis learned that a beginning Trainer had potentially found Aipom, Fennekin decided to go with him to meet that Trainer.
In the following episode, Lewis commanded Fennekin in a battle against a swarm of Beedrill that were attacking Shauna and Aipom. After returning to Lumiose City, Fennekin watched as Shauna picked Bulbasaur as her Starter Pokémon. Fennekin then expressed her desire to go with Lewis on his journey, so he caught her in a Poké Ball.
In Rampaging on the Streets!, Fennekin was used to help calm a rampaging Tyranitar.
In The Santalune Bug Battle!, Fennekin was Lewis' first Pokémon in his Gym battle against Viola. She first faced Viola's Surskit, but was recalled after being overwhelmed by Surskit's Bubblebeam. Fennekin was later sent out after Aipom was defeated by Vivillon. After a difficult battle, Fennekin was able to use the springy spiderweb battlefield to jump above Vivillon and defeat it with Fire Spin.

Fennekin is a very friendly Pokémon, as seen when she made quick friends with Lewis almost immediately after meeting him. She is also shown to be perceptive, noticing that something was wrong when she first saw Lewis. Fennekin is shown to be a capable battler, being able to fight a swarm of Beedrill almost single-handedly without much difficulty.
